I Cry

I Cry

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

The list of things I cry about with government is too long

"
I cry for the America that used to be,

I cry for the millions who cannot see.

I cry for the Constitution, forgotten on a shelf,

I cry for the blurring of right and wrong, how far it fell.

I cry for our values, for they no longer apply,

I cry for what's happened, and wonder why?

I cry for the end of separation of church and state,

I cry for inaction, for we can't afford to wait.

Impeach now, before he tears everything down,

and there's nothing left of America but a hole in the ground.
