The Head That Devoured America

The Head That Devoured America

A Poem by Michael Stevens
"

One guess!

"
A beast in a fools disguise first appeared in 2015,
The Escalator Head took in the gullible scene
------
And saw an opportunity ripe for the picking,
A nation in position for a good old fashion dicking
------
At first he was just a medium-sized bloated head,
But grew and grew the more outlandish things he said,
------
He grew so big that nothing, certainly no laws dared
Apply to him, for the more he got away with, nobody cared
------
He burst through norms like they had never been,
And before he knew it the Presidency he did win
------
Drunk with percieved power, he reigned from on high
Fancied himself above even that biblical guy
------
He ran over precedence and laws made for mortal men
He got away with murder, time after time, again and again
-----
Soon, because he wasn't reigned in, his hat burst its seams
His champagne wishes, lust for more, and Al Capone dreams
------
Were within his grasp; America had, soon the world would
Give him all he desired, and more, and soon they should
------
Feel the wrath of his all-powerful and pre-ordained hand
All would praise him, the iron ruler of all a forsaken land
------
He feasted on America then turned his hunger to the east
Soon the world would be devoured in his power-mad feast
