Every once in a while

Sometimes, rarely, you let yourself wallow in depressing thoughts and painful memories. You know better than go there but you go none-the-less. Maybe its a chance comment from someone who has no idea they touched a nerve that sets you to wallowing. Maybe it's your own turncoat brain delving into the darkest corners of your mind where you keep your worst secrets under lock and key. Whatever the reason, the longest of days await.
