A Poem by Monday Parker

She is so lucky to hold him

To lay with him and hear his

Voice whispered in the dark

I wonder if she knows how lucky she is

How in two seconds

 I would trade

Anything

I owned or touched for him

Any lips that had ever met mine

I would trade it all

For his….

the green eyed monster, how he stares, how he longs to take the hearts and minds of all who have desires for the things they cannot have....

beautiful writing, short and to the point.
i think i little more imagery and description would be nice though, how did his voice sound, how did those lips that touched your's feel? that kind of thing, it would help to make it easier for the reader to create a mental picture of what you are writing about

Wow! That was pretty intense. That's something that I haven't often seen reflected in a poem. It feels incredibly visceral.
