Afraid

Afraid

A Poem by MoE

I was afraid,
I was always fearful of the unknown.
I was afraid of being afraid.
I prayed, asking God for his help.
asking him "please make me brave;
 make me strong enough.
Im not asking to take away my fear,
but to give me enough courage to match it."
Then I met you,
and I was more afraid.
Afraid, that I wouldn't be good enough.
That I would be just another 'girl'
Since then, I've Prayed every night.
I am afraid at times,
but not as much as I am brave.
I'm not fearful of life
and not as afraid of rejection.
I now know something I didn't know before,
I have nothing to loose.
I believe God gave me you to teach me,
to make me push myself.
I know we just met,
but I believe God gave me you.

To be honest I'm a bit confused by what you're trying to do with this poem. At first it sounded like a cry for help from God, but there doesn't seem to be any answer from Him. Then I guess God answered your prayers by giving you someone to love? But there seems to be a lot of hope, but also some fear is still present. I still say it's good though. Good job
