The Challenge

A challenge,

Is something you go after.

Not knowing if you will receive it,

but having faith that whatever happens,

happens.

It tests how far you will go.

How much you are willing to give up. 

Something you work hard for... 

It's something you are not going to give up so easily. 

Many a man wants something easy 

Something that is practically given.

Maybe they just have to buy a drink 

Or say a few silver words 

That's the key 

But not to the heart.

 Girls fall for a glance,

even a few words that are just deceit,

covered in pretty, shallow shell.

She opens herself up, 

thinking that they both feel the same. 

Thinking that this is love.

 Somehow knowing that it isn't,  

But giving in all the same.

Telling Herself:

"That's the way do it, 

that's the way you keep a man." 

In the end, 

She knows what she looses,

but not knowing any other way.

Love is a challenge. 

The easier it is to gain, 

the less likely you will appreciate it. 

That is why the prince has to battle the dragon. 

He must defeat the things that are said to be 

impossible.

To prove to her, 

to prove to himself,  

that he is willing to give up

what he desires the most, 

Life.
