Lazy Day

Just thinking about my future husband...

I want to sleep the day away.

Lying with my one & only

Cuddling under the covers

Not letting the world disturb our bliss.

His arms around me tight

holding on for dear life.

as if this was our last day together

Whispering "I'll Always Love You"

Talking & laughing,

maybe a tickle fight or two,

as we watch the sunlight fade.

Yes, this is our lazy day.

Holding hands beneath the covers

not caring what others might say

Not wanting tomorrow to come too soon.

Today is just about me & you

We shall watch a love story 

cry when they cry

laugh when they laugh

Anything to be with one another.

We would try to not close our eyes

trying to stay awake 

fearing that if we fell asleep

Everything will change.

We  would fall asleep as a new day begins

sweet memories still fresh in our heads

Wishing those moments would never end.

Could we feel that way forever?
