Another Xmas Song

Another Xmas Song

A Poem by Phi Coulthard
"

Not so very cheery Xmas poem. Hopefully it makes you think about those who suffer over the festive period.

"
Sleigh bells ringing
Someone’s dying
Inside the heart is breaking
The beast is eating
But it’s only the small person

The celebrity is made hero
The stupid and ignorant
As we forget her past crimes
She’s so brave
And so they forget
Those who suffered in silence
They who didn’t make the front page

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
A repression of old memories
And let the pain subside
But she will be there
The memory of younger days

So this is another Christmas one
Another Christmas song
Let’s all be happy
Drink wine and eat pies
For it is the season
The season to be merry
