Trapped where i don't want to be

A nightmare i had last night

The stars are shining
but the sky is dim.
My mind almost blank
but still thoughts of him.

Dreaming of my fear
reviewing the scene
Usually I wake up
as soon as I scream.

This time I stay
this time I can't leave.
The dream keeps going
shattering all i believe

This nightmare now to long
showing me all my fears.
I just want to be awake
to rid myself of these tears.

With a loud noise I receive my relief
but my heart is beating rapidly with no end.
Shaking and scared I still am
wondering if this was the pain he did intend.

Love that last line. Not sure why you so feared this guy, or why the nightmare was so tramautizing. I love the description in the begining you give us some good concrete images. Very good.

The blazing heat of this poem is still burning my computer screen. I love the flow you have, but at the end it does become a little off. I would try shorting the last stanza, but that is my opinion. Other then that this poem is amazing and stunning. Great job.
