is freedom worth the lonliness

i was thinking of leaving but everytime i go to i realize im not sure if i want to be alone if alone is what i already feel.

I look up at the stars

they seem so far away

somewhere i wish i could go

but i know i couldnt stay

 

I need an escape

just a little time to breathe

because so much pressure is being thrown

i just want to  dissapear and leave.

 

I watch as your life goes on

and mine stays still

you dont even look back

you have forgotten me at will

 

I see the sun dissapear

my faith fades with the light

I dont know how you can walk away

so i give in without a fight

 

I need to sleep for awhile

to take a break from life

to get a new plan

to relive all this strife.

 

I can only hope for change

and pray for a chance

because i've never felt so much pain

since that last dance

 

I see the sky

so free and alone

i wonder if freedom is worth the lonliness

or if theres more than shown

You mean freedom from love, sigh... I will agree it is super hard to just walk away even from a relationship that is unhealthy for you. It is a fear of being alone, of not having that one just for you. It is hard to imagine a life where they are not a part of it and all you can see is just you... a lonely outlook. I am learning it isn't all that lonely it is freedom, but a different kind. It is a freedom to rediscover yourself, to learn just how much you have grown and changed since the last time you were "alone" and in learning the new you makes it worth it because it heals you and ultimately prepares you for "New Love" Now isn't that worth being free for? I have learned that even with a broken heart I am strong enough to say enough and I would rather be alone than to continue life feeling like this. So yes Freedom is worth the loneliness
