Within starlit nights of days gone by,

back within those years of you and I,

I sit within the quiet chambers of my mind,

contemplating all the treasures that I find,

all the wonderful years you devoted to me,

all the pleasant times of laughter that I see,

and all those fond memories paint upon my face

-- a smile,

an innermost smile that shall never fade away,

nor cease its smiling that smile of having known you,

within any ever of any never of my concept of forever's

any given day of come what will, come what may.

I have found my smile again!

And my smile is upturned comprised,

of infinity's endlessly fond memories

-- of you

For you were always that only one for me,

that only one who put a smile upon my face,

for all the world to see: You and me,

within starlit nights of days gone by ...

I love this Marvin..it's so tender and loving, and with such verve; I know your loss has been agonizing, but you have kept her face in your mind's eye; and the memories will linger forever....a lovely tribute to your wife.... love the fading of the photograph.
Best, B

I really like this poem and the love shown....but the picture is so cool....
reminds me of my prom and those old slides or the coloring of those old photographs.
