Extra Small

Extra Small

A Poem by Amanda

Standing stripped in the glass,
You look at yourself and cringe.
You keep staring and grimace;
Look straight away and twinge.

You want to punch the mirror;
It discusts you what you see.
All you want is to never look;
A fat ugly girl is she.

Everyone says that your pretty,
You're beautiful and all of that.
They just don't want to tell you
That they think you are fat.

They all say how jealous they are
Of your size zero jeans.
They're all just being nice,
That's all any of it ever means.

So you stand in front of the mirror
In on your bra and underwear,
A tear slides down your cheek,
"It's just so unfair.

Why do they all get to be pretty
When I'm an ugly w***e?
Look at all my extra fat,
What's an ugly girl good for?"

You throw a shoe at the glass
And watch it shatter apart.
You crumble to the ground
As you feel a pain stab your heart.

Tears spill down your face
As your lay on the ground and cry.
You insist that you're too fat;
What they all say is a lie.

"I'm not pretty because I'm fat,
I'm just an ugly little w***e.
There's no want of me,
What does the world need me for?"

You take a peice of glass
And slice your skin with it's blade.
Silently you sit there and wait
For your young life to fade.

When your funeral came around
In that following windy fall
The casket size that they needed
Was an extra small.
