A Drabble of a story about a Cardinal and a pope

There was  Cardinal name Charles Ditmars. Charles loved his faith and hoped he could be pope one day..  One day an opportunity came for him to be the pope. He was walking with  the pope to his room. Charles pulled out a knife and stabbed the pope in the heart. Charles took out the scared document that when signed in the pope's blood grants the cardinal the pope's tittle. No one has dared to do this in the event they might get excommunicated. When it was done he burn the pope's body and ruled from day forward with no end.

I'd like to see less of the word 'pope' in this Drabble.
"tittle' should be title.

Interesting grim tale of one who'd go to any lengths to be Pope.
