To the side is a window

Opening a gateway to the snowy outside;

Snow fallen into a down blanket

Melting on the ground.

The light beams of a springtime sun

Welcome and warm my space.

White sheets with blue flowers

Loiter on the bed on which I sit.

Soft music plays in the nearby living room

LIke a whisper in the wind.

Dull yellow paint clots the walls,

Under mother's roof.

TV blares images before my eyes

A controller resting beside me.

I'm going to be an adult.
