How endearing. My first reading of this poem I felt the romanticism it has the ability to emanate. Upon second reading I find it alluring. Alluring in a sinful state; an evil desiring to devour an innocent soul. His desire is to shape and mold this soul to his liking and for his use; when done, so is the soul. Tis a very versatile poem you have here. It's interpretation depends on the readers mood. First reading, I was lonely and missing something important in my life; love, companionship. The second reading, I was having a bad day and lashing out; sorry. But it's also why I love it so much.
