My lonely heart is aching

For I miss your gentle touch

My eyes are filled with tears

Because I miss you oh so much

 

Who thought that this would happen

That we would feel the way we do

Just like the prince and princess 

Dreams really do come true

 

Your leaving made me realize

Just what you mean to me

Though I knew it all along

The distance helped me see

 

You too have said you're hurting

Your return will happen soon

I'll wait until i'm in your arms

We'll make love beneath the moon

 

So while I wait here patiently

Your rose I'll gently clutch

My tears will fall till you come home

Because l miss you oh so much
