OUR ONE TRUE LOVE AND FRIEND

OUR ONE TRUE LOVE AND FRIEND

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

Our One True Love And Friend

Have I told you that I love you?
Do you know how much I care?
This love of ours is special
It's depth is something rare

We know we both aren't perfect
And we know we'll never be
But we compliment each other
Like the leaves that dress a tree

 One without the other
Seems barren and so alone
But put the two together
See beauty, beyond what's known

There's no mountain that's too tall
Or a valley that's too low
That can ever come between us
Or our love that we bestow

 Days ahead may overwhelm us
But we know that in the end
We will take our vows and marry
Our one true love and friend

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
