WISH YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO

WISH YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

WISH YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO

To spend the night with you

The way we used to do

Take me in your arms and hold me tight

You know you make me want to cry

Every time you say goodbye

Knowing that she's waiting home for you tonight

(bridge)

But maybe someday you'll be mine

And you won't have to go

You'll be mine forever again

Until that day i'll just love you

Whenever I can

Living in memories we shared back then

Oh baby can't you see

Just what you do to me

I wish you didn't have to go

'Cause loving you is all I want to do

To spend the night together

Wish you didn't have to go

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
