TOGETHER FROM THE HEART

TOGETHER FROM THE HEART

A Poem by Barbara Lynne

TOGETHER FROM THE HEART

She waits ever so patiently
As the plane starts to descend
All her questions and curiosity
Will soon come to it's end

The runway seems so endless
As the plane's journey reaches its end
And soon to be revealed
Is this man known as her friend

Her heart is filled with emotion
As she searches through the crowd
And then he stands before her
So handsome, tall and proud

It only takes a moment
Butterflies begin to "play
They have waited oh so long
In anticipation of this day

He looks deep into her eyes
And knows right from the start
This woman he thought just a friend
Is the one who holds his heart

She feels his heart racing
As her body he holds tight
They kiss and as passion ruptures
They know this is the night

Though the two have never met
Their love blossomed from afar
Their love is like a book of poetry
With pages from their hearts memoir

As they walk along together
Her head resting on his shoulder
They know thy have met the one
To forever love as they grow older

Then someday maybe they will tell
Just how their love did start
A prose a story or perhaps a poem
Written together, from the heart

About
I have been writing poems and songs since I was a young girl. Sometimes it is easier to say how you feel and what you dream in a poem or song than it is face to face. I appreciate all comments and t.. more..
