Even If Alone

Even If Alone

A Poem by nadia dmitri
"

Quiet palindromes

"
A fatherless child
And, oh, a childless father
Quiet palindromes

Restlessly still home
Your identity gone too
A contradiction

The silence so loud
The labels dead in their mouth
Your name is lethal

You stand in corners
No more title to confine
Find new things to be

Your pain stretches miles
The voiceless cries are heard by
Unopened bedrooms

Your father shaped hope
And your child shaped emptiness
It is close enough

You are still a child
And you are still a father
Even if alone

I like the way you constructed this x7 three line stanza poem .. it looks good on the page and flows so well .. I also note the absence of full stops after each stanza, including the concluding one .. my initial impression is that these words so beautifully lacquered each upon the other were aching to get out and be both read and enjoyed .. I am very impressed with your ink nadia .. Neville

Beautiful writing. I loved each line. Good work 👍

There is great emotional thought and opinion here; words that cut through situations to gentle fidget their samenesses: ' A fatherless child - And, oh, a childless father'

You offer thought, invite understanding. You have such a special and inspiring mind.
