Ode to Julie Davis

Ode to Julie Davis

A Poem by nadia dmitri
"

A red shred

"
Hey, Julie Davis
You are the Hollywood me
Sadness so pristine

A life so tragic
Waiting on a train to a
Fear defined future

The doubt in your eyes
A mirror into my own
Clenched fist motherhood

You just missed the look
On your husband's harrowed face
When he saw you there

I bet you looked nice
Staged under a bright blue sky
An ode to Plath's shred

Unblinking and loved
Did the beauty leave your hand
Like a red balloon?
