Stone Ceiling

Stone Ceiling

A Poem by Namaa Hammond

Forgotten darkness once my light

Mold my windows from glass to stone

My days so dark, you stay and fight

My darkest cove, you're what I call home

My coldest pleasure, you leave me empty

I dig for answers while I lay in dirt

My sensual obscurity, I find in you trinity

Silence of your remains, I now unearth

Restore my fouls, rebuild my sanity

Asleep until dusk, shall you appear

Your voice entrails my thoughts nightly

Entice me with your poisoned drear

Arise from thy summon, walk with the dead

I need your guidance and a hand

Come lay beside me in my wooden-nailed bed

I will plant your grievance in my land

Oh, sweet shadows whom give'th my sight

I have prepared a rose to give your life

The rain brown, and the walls of great height

Let us close our eyes for the afterlife

Clean my wounds and warn me of sin

'Tis time to go before the sand falls in

Breathe until the soul loosens from its skin

Sweet shadow, come forth and bring me to him

I enjoyed the complete poem. The above lines were my favorite. I like the vision create by these words. To lie in a bed of nails allowed us to know what is real and true. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

A very nice poem. A deep thought for one so young. It isn't easy being young is it? When I was young it wasn't either .
