Five Minute Haiku

Five Minute Haiku

A Poem by Nancy Lee Shrader

Five Minute Haiku

Five minute haiku

Must be written down quickly

To be first in show

Conundrum of words

Counted in syllabic style

Relays a message

The Haiku was born

In the country of Japan

Japanese Masters

The syllable count

Is seventeen syllables

In five-seven-five

But over the years

Many variations done

Poets from the west

Yep, this pretty much sums it up. You did a great job outlining the general idea and syllabic use...Raul

I really like the layout of the letters, it makes it much more interesting.

I love how not only one of the haiku's flows, but they all do, AND they all conjoin together. It's greatly unique and creative. Would love to see more :)
