"All That You have Given Me"

"All That You have Given Me"

A Poem by natzky

All That You Have Given ME

I do thank you for every sleepless night,

When I could not sleep for cold

I do thank you for your caressing arms,

When everything seems falling apart

I do thank you for standing by my side,

When I was just a little fiend

I do thank you for your love and care

That makes me strong and firmed.

I do thank you for being my antidote,

When I was poisoned by failures and pain………..

thank you for the time reading and commenting on my work Gee..:)
This sounds so familiar, yet I don't know where it is from. This sounds like something you could give to your mother.

100/100

heheh..exactly...that poem is dedicated to my beloved mother...thanks for the comment..:)
Not sure if this works as a comparison part of your work. But this is what I was reminded of, maybe it was the flow, but this was the first thing to come to mind.

"for standing by my side
when I was just a little fiend"

I never got to find one of those back then. I love that you had (have) whomever that was (is) to lean on. Nice testimonial.

I like that it's so open to interpretation; to me personally it sounds like a note of closure and thanks to a lost love, that may or may not have the invisible words "I miss you" in between the lines, but my opinion is based on my own personal experience, and the beauty of it is that each individual would read this a little differently.

It can be looked at in two way.... The way a Lover treats their beloved, or as a parent treats their child. I never had a mom. She died when I was little. but I hoped that if she was alive, she would be like your poem describes.. Always there for me..... My Antidote from the poisounous Pain. The rhythm is good, and I love this poem alot. I am adding it to my fav's Thank you for sharing it with me. It makes me feel like I was seeing the Mom I never knew.
