Tears

Tears

A Poem by Neelay Umrotkar
"

Something that I put together when I was feeling down. It helped me to let everything out, also, this was the first attempt at writing a poem. I've never tried it before.

"

The wind blows and the time flows,

Making me wonder why,

In this rain I stand, drinking a cup of chai.

It must be the girl I met,

that made me listen to the old cassettes,

but then again, I might be wrong,

because she wasn’t there all along.

Like fog she clouds my mind,

sometimes I wish I could just unwind,

how can I explain you this,

all I ever wanted was a kiss.

I thought she was the one for me,

All the fun we had, laying under that tree,

and ‘poof’ she vanished without a trace,

I wish I’d never met her in the first place.

So, here I am, drinking chai,

And I will not deny,

I wish, from my memory she’d disappear,

Because all I’m left with now is, Tears.
