Hope.

Don't ever lose hope. You'll be just fine!

As memories in the back of your mind rot,

You think of all the things you’re not.

You tried to change that very fact,

Now it seems like, with the Devil, you made a pact.

 

Now they tell you how you’ve changed,

How the choices you made were deranged,

How you became something you’re not,

How in your family’s legacy, you’re just a blot.

 

So you hate those people from the depths of your heart,

Because all they ever did was, at you, throw darts.

But sometimes you do wonder, what if they’re right?

Because deep down, we’re all looking for someone to say, “It’s alright”.

Someone to lean against, someone who cares,

Someone who’d protect you from all the glares.

 

So, you search for that someone, day and night,

Someone who makes the flames in your heart reignite.

 To no avail, your search continues,

But to give up, you refuse.

 

So, now you get out, with hope in your eyes,

And you watch time as it flies.

As time passes by, you only mature,

You say “I’ll find her one day, I’m sure.”
