The Mirror Reflects Both Light And Dark

The Mirror Reflects Both Light And Dark

A Poem by J.M.B

it was actually the black

guy that rescued me,

if i’d have caught his name

i’d have written him

a thank you note,

the whites had sharpened

their knives,

made up lies,

lower classes

working for uppers,

with upraised looks

in subservience

to the suits

who threw them

a few extra pennies a week more

than they could make

in a warehouse.

the movie The Matrix

was a load of bollocks,

and if you want directions

in the city,

ask a black cop,

whites are oppressive pigs
