through the looking glass

i would like to step

inside the screen,

head first, arms, then body,

legs, and in,

 

 

but not to fight over dogmatising

opinions,

or to brandish cruel inciting

words, like swords

 

 

that cut through onions

 

 

before rounds and rounds

of mock applause

shown in signs

of tooth-filled yawns,

 

 

 

i just want a kiss
