Poet with A Choice

Poet with A Choice

A Poem by smarvin45

Should I leave my pencil alone
Because that's what I have been told
Leave my muse for emotion?
That's my audience's notion.
What's a singer without an audience?
An off-tune babbling fool that doesn't like silence.
What's a writer without a reader?
He's as useless as a great army without a leader.
But anyway, I scribble again on and on,
Till my lead runs out.
