Lost Prayer

Lost Prayer

A Poem by New Theory

A prayer,  just one wish
That I had for me, selfish as it may seem.
I prayed to you, sent it to the heavens.

My patience seeming to wear off,
Who do I ask? Why did this happen?
All around me akin to silence.
For that one moment of happiness,
Where do I search?

Don't know how the sands,
kept slipping through my hands.
Can't fathom what other sadness
lay in front of me.
Life losing it's meaning.

Alone in search of that wish.
that I had sent to heavens.
Must haven't reached high enough
Falling somewhere I know not of.
If you find it, do find me.
And if you do, Would you help me.
To send it above to the creator?

this is wonderful, as though I could have written it myself, a very creative, yet relatable piece, I admire the words you have written, prayers unanswered, life's meaning... we are constantly searching for something more, for answers we may never find... A very thought provoking write!

Always searching... lots of people in this world can relate to that concept.

I thought it was a good, thought-provoking poem. :)

Thank you Robert, we all have some unfulfilled wishes. This poem is for those unfulfilled wishes.
This is beautiful and slightly bitter- sweet. We search to the heavens for the answers sometimes if we are lucky maybe we get the answer yes? I really liked this Theory :)

Yes they are :)
nice piece :) many times in our life, we seemed to be bludgeoned with ignored wishes and unanswered prayers. i guess the very act of wishing/praying is one way our minds adapt to cruel realities that we're forced to face everyday.
