Silence

Silence

A Poem by Haley Smith
"

Hush hush at juvy.

"

think think think

tapping my head

stare off into space

in my thinking world

madi, giving up a field trip for

me

green plastic beds on

concrete frames

itchy blue blankets

cuffmarks

blurred vision

tasteless food

complete isolation

evil staff members

hands behind your back

shoes that don't fit,

granny panties, too-small

sports bras

no music

no talking

no tone no smile,

impatience

and silence

I like the way you took the time to describe every little detail painting a clear picture of your surroundings, feelings, and mindset.
I enjoyed reading!

I couldn't see you a juvy, but the images are short, simple,
yet strong, and hope you learned your lesson:).

Rather (very) abstract, but quite interesting!
