A Poem by sharingsmoke
"

Rewind and rebound.

"
I lie there beside you, your heartbeat echoes through my bared chest.
Would I be so cruel as to allow you to adore me?
You've willingly found your way to me, like a lamb lead to the slaughter.
Magnetic and intimate, but bound to an expiration date.
I see you, for who, and for what you are,
and I can't help but want to stay here forever,
and whet myself on your blade.

The slanted moonlight reflects my hesitation.
Stay. Or don't.
It doesn't truly make a difference -
they all leave you, in the end.
