our youth

our youth

A Poem by nikki sicki

Our Youth
I had an open mind until my brains fell out
without a doubt
it is the sound of throwing up
a gag
a hurl
of nourishment you thought you had
backwards feeding consciousness
It is our youth
you'll find them
somewhere were thoughts become dreams
and people are just material things
Youth happens
when we become undone without our pride
and when our dream subside
that
festers hate
and hate just a revenge that you cant defend
Swallowing virtue will not make you whole
I'm sorry that you weren't ever told
that love is something you know without
being told
stop digging your own grave
like when Saddam Hussein
buried the Kurds away
its just a rumor that we are weak
you don't know what sacrifice means
till you've lost your will
and haven't got and shoes to fill
the footsteps of kings or teachers
its not our kidneys that are failing
it is our youth
time is not the only thing
that breaks us down
down
down under
where pleasure is all that matters
I want you to know that Michael jacksons
clip on nose is not as important
as the bullet holes
eroding the disease that we call war
  that'smaking us ignore
that this life is all we got
while your just hanging out smokin pot
your to dope to know
that birth control can save the soul
and that god is under sticks and stones
waiting for you to become real
silence is not the way
the power of children can amaze
stop giving me a bad name
write it
say it
are you to deaf to your nerves to understand the
power of
words?
