science

science

A Poem by nikki sicki

the snow moved across the road so smooth
like sheets waving in the air winter was really about to set in
science
the science
of it all
make no sense
but I knew it was there
a torn in my side
a pain in my belly
who knew this baby would become my Christ
to lead us out of temptation
to deliver us from evil
the science of it all
does not make sense
7
8
9
bled out
died
women wonder why
no medical reason at all
science
no science at all
try to open our eyes to the way
we butcher our lives
how many
does it take?
how many wombs must wake in a hollow of mistakes?
you died for my sins
you showed me the way
even though you were only with me 3 months
I worship you and all your kind
not just a torn in my side
bled
out
a pain in my belly
bled
out
Christ
bled
out
the science of it all
does
not
make
sense
bled
out
died
miscarried Christ
winter had really set it
