poetry in motion

A Poem by Nicola Farren

Poetry in motion

is so beautiful to see.

It’s everywhere around us

wherever we might be.

It’s in the sky with every bird

that’s soaring free in flight.

And in every shining star

that’s shooting through the night

A child uses inosence

and honesty although.

The beauty of their precious gift

is that they do not know.

They see the world around us

and enjoy in every way.

The gift we have been given

which we wake to everyday.

A chef preparing dishes

which are flavorful and new.

Has shown you something special

on the plate in front of you.

With a head full of ideas

that they only wish to share

Given to the world within

the food that they prepare

An artist puts themselves in every

piece of work they’ve done.

Original and could not be

replaced by anyone.

A painting on a canvas

tells a story of it’s own.

As each sculpture holds a vision which

It’s creator has now shown.

For me I tell a story

as I  put pen to paper so

I can express myself

in the only way I know.

I try to put an image down

in words and hope you see.

The poetry in motion

as a gift for you, from me

Wow, Great writing. All we have to do is REALLY SEE what is all around us, like an artists painting visions onto canvases, we put those visions into words for all to read. I love this poem, I'm an artist, and for years painted visions onto canvases but recently I turned poetry, writing visions into poems. If you'd like to read a couple of mine, read: "On This October Day"and "Changing Seasons". Thank you for sharing your poem. I look forward reading more of your poems.

This felt very lyrical, almost a song, just my thoughts anyway.
