Shades

Shades

A Poem by Nancy

Lyrics

"

Wind strikes a mournful tune

Through rocks on this haunted beach

Waves crush the sand

Drowning the sounds of laughter

Tears fill a young girls eyes

Not hearing the seagulls hungry cry

Innocent fantasy’s fade

When she found that he lied

Gazing as memories flash on by

New life is carried on the tide

She will face it alone

Without the father of her child

Middle eight guitar solo

Shades of a cold November morning

A touch of desperation in the air

Makes the sunrise seem dark

With his feelings of emptiness

Fear fills the older mans heart

His present is falling apart

What can he give to this girl

And the child made in thoughtlessness

Heartless as he may seem

The older man didn’t mean

To be the one to bring out the woman

In one so young

a most original piece of writing the same dilemma seen through two different pairs of eyes.Careless raptures lead to complex problems.
