Desolation

Desolation

A Poem by nyi

State of limbo spawn from chaotic life

As I breathe the much insecurities from the air

Deprived of moral integrity under the banner of tainted

For I live in the physical world full of materialism

And the vivid colors of my soul are bleached

By the deceptive lust, invasive greed and haunting past

For my ego-centric way of life, I have sold myself

And I'm rolling black out of oblivion now

Like I have slipped into a hole and couldn't crawl back up

Consequences of my view too physical are dire

I'm becoming more immune towards love

The terror of loving someone and being loved so rock me

Loneliness is not a social status but the incapability

Being not able to connect with another living soul

For I'm bounded inside my past how far I walk

Like in a loop and always return back to starting point

Though there are displacements, there is no distance

Love is nothing more than the space I have created

So I keep drowning inside the immensity of loud silences

As I have no courage left to find another soul

Who could break me free from being chained to my past
