Paved road

Paved road

A Poem by nyi

I have lost to who I am

As these sudden emotions pierce so deeply

Into my soul crafting my character

Through my attempts to adapt the gravity of life problems

The sense of sympathy is slowly fading away

By the juggernaut of greed and lust for false pride

My concrete thoughts of love so pure and divine

Are in dire need to be resurrected to liberate me

From the dirty and deceptive world that I live in

Love was found and love was lost

And I am just trying to understand myself

In my journey to find something enchanting

Before I understand the road is not paved

I'll still be walking in the loop despite my mistakes

So can I be mature enough to be better than me?
