Screams

Screams

A Poem by nyi

I have come to talk with darkness again

Under the brightly lid neon light of the night

While walking upon the street of my broken dream

Then the city starts to cry with me

After your departure, I see people only through glass

Though transparent I can't touch their souls

Wish I am brave enough to crash it by some accident

But no one to claim me if I fail

Despite my attempts in acting high and mighty

Beneath my skin and muscle everything is hollow

Deprived of euphoria and rich in grief

Are the ripple effects of your absence to my life

And my confidence starts to disintegrate bit by bit

For I have been strong just because of you

I crave the smell of your fragrance while holding you in my arms

And our secret place no one knows is never found again

Can my silent screams soar higher and higher

And higher enough to overcome this concrete walls and reach to you?
