Hollow Man

Hollow Man

A Poem by nyi
"

a glimpse into our own ego

"

I can see vengeance in their eyes

Payback time for my pervious lies

They deliver messages through their disguised smiles

That the only friend I made would be a space of mine

I’m forced to find comfort in luxury

For I’ve taken others’ shares savagely

I respond as my arrogance dictates

Through the treacherous act, I will vindicate

I had lost the act of faith

For I want everything in my take

And yes I have everything but they are all fake

For my soul has escaped and it’s all too late

Redemption through the kiss?

Rejected for I could not offer any true gift

As I slips into my own grief

More and more people start to leave

Blood pressure climbs at dramatic rate

Against my ignorance mistakes I could not face

As I walk through perpetual haze of guilt

I accept palpable pity with my fist

And so I write in search for iota of bliss

For it is the only thing I genuinely own at this minute

i guess we all treat ppl wrongly..regret for not treating them what they really deserved sometimes...and through our arrogance, true friends are lost...and even if we become rich..our lives would be full of shit!..well that message was what i intended..and not sure whether i was successful or not..please leave some comments so i could know..also i like to say that i spent like 30 minutes or so in writing two lines 'I respond as my arrogance dictates.Through the treacherous act, I will vindicate'..it was pretty hard for me to actually comes out with those words..and i'm anxious to know about what other think..i hope here would not be any grammar mistakes..and hope every lines are linked..thanks for reading this..

Simply outstanding words here. This is amazing and powerful.
I like this write. I agree with Coyote as well.

The words are so powerful in your poem. Sometime it is easier to be hard and cold and take little time to see any good in a life. In the end we may feel victories and may have great toys. But life is fair. A heartless soul who only takes will never find peace in anything. A outstanding poem. You made me think.

Karma has its turn in catching up with us and returning to us what we have dished out to others in our life. I think you presented the feeling of regret and that no matter what we accomplish it does not always comfort us. I also think you did great on writing this. Excellent job.

Not a bad write. Well done.

I'm guessing it happens to all poets at some point, like being drained of imagination and feeling numb. I've felt it far many times. Try avoiding uneven rhymes, punctuation is important too. 'As I slip(s) into my own grief' - Typo. Loved the words 'Perpetual haze of guilt'. Nice poem overall.

I can relate... I've always felt like a part.. somewhere in side of me was empty. When things like this have happened to me. Some lines can be fixed, but it's all about getting the expression down on paper! Well done.
and omgggg, this line "Redemption through the kiss?" is fantastic! I know exactly what you mean.

typing mistake at the second line...it should be 'previous' lies

This is fantastic! You really did get the message across well, you don't need the note. (At least, I got it) Great job! :D

*sidenote: "pervious lies"... I think that's supposed to be previous.

this was great. There were a few parts I had to read again, but over all it's a good poem and the meaning is really good as well.

You really gave us something to think about. Ambition can be a destructive force. You've given a new spin on the concept of the end not justifying the means.
