Decay

Decay

A Poem by nyi

Can I steal a touch?
For your fragrance flows inside my blood
Pumping up the need to kiss your soft skin
Exhilarated by your colorful pinky lips
And your glances making my soul naked
My self-esteem stripped by the way you move
But the way of right is wrong now
For I'm drowning inside your charming lies
Blinded by my own preferences for physical beauty
Is this going to make the prestige of love slowly decay?

sometimes I think we degrade the quality of love by giving too much importance to physical beauty...

I agree to what you said in the note as well as your piece. It is such a disgrace that people nowadays disregard the inner beauty of others and instead, prefer the ones that are visible to them. In turn, many of them look up to celebrities who are full of cosmetic surgeries done to them. I hope these people will see soon that they are wrong. Indeed, they deserve to be taught.

My grandma said al men grow wrinkley when they get old,and a rich man can always loose his money, but a man that can fix things will always be useful. She didn't mean fix the car or the washer. She meant that can fix the tears and the worries

Beauty is what we can't see. Beauty is in the eyes and deeds of people. Outer beauty can assist a good heart. Your ending is very true.
