Long distance relationships are tough. :/

I picture skies

of orange glow

With burning clouds

that drift and flow

Over flaming waters

ever silent and low

In sunset overdose

I dream of you

 

I feel the push

of the ocean breeze

And the waters crash

part at my feet

I look at the waves

and the song repeats

In lonely sand castles

I dream of you

 

I hit top speed

as I run down hill

The rain falls down

and i stand still

I’m soaked with your presence

and my heart is filled

And then I overflow

I dream of you

 

I dream of your hand

making love with mine

You kiss my lips

and stop the flow of time

 

Your ember fingers

They melt my skin

I dive into you

though I cannot swim

 

Then you lay me down

on cold naked steel

Nothing compares

to what i now feel

 

A million pleasures

knowing that you’re near

But then I wake up alone

and I shed a tear

 

I grab your letter

and read the last line

And then I whisper "I love you too"

and cry one more time

 

In unforgiving loneliness

this is all I can do

I close my eyes

and I dream of you

Wow. Its so heartbreaking but yet really beautifully written and thought out. And id agree long distance relationships are hard...with words unsaid and thought unspoken. Absolutely amazing as always.

Oh wow, this was so beautiful.
I honestly think this is the best of your works (of what I've read, at least).
It truly is amazing. I found so many verses to be wonderful, that I don't think I can tell you a favourite. So, I'll put a couple :)
"the rain falls down
and i stand still
i'm soaked with your presence"
and
"i dream of your hand
making love with mine".
I think this one is much more different than the others, it's not all that cheesy ;)
