the girl on the other side of the world

a poem i wrote about a friend i met online. :) it took me a while to finish it. lol hope she likes it. lol

as my sun conquers 

her moonbeams gleam

i walk under the blue

she's on deep purple dreams

and as her curtains fall

mine are just being raised

as she says her bedtime prayers

i sing my morning praise

her "hello" breaks my morning

her "smile" greets my day

i feel the warmth of her being

from half the world away

i eagerly say "hi"

ask if her day was well

then we pour a hundred LMAOs

and a thousand LOLs

it's funny how we just met

yet we talk like we're best friends

i love how she opens me up

with every note she sends

i'll never forget the extacy

of when i first saw her face

my rhymes they grew wings

and my heart joined a race

i love how her eyes dance

in her every burst of laughter

i love the glow of moonlight

in her strokes of red and amber

the subtle beauty of her kindness

warmer than any morning coffee cup

it draws me in much deeper

deep enough to fall in love

i guess fate has a way of saying

the best things in life are free

for somewhere under the stars

a lovely girl smiles for me

so i guess all that's left to know

with all the words that went and came

on the other side of the world

would she ever feel the same?
