First Flowers

First Flowers

A Poem by oli the outcast
"

I'm not really sure how to explain it. I wrote this after my ex broke up with me.

"
a warmth blossomed in me that day.
in your arms I bloomed, as you promised me you loved me.
there were so many things I wanted to see,
and every one, I wanted to see them with you.
but you made her feel like that too.
your arms welcomed her because hers weren't scarred,
even though I kissed every cut you ever made,
and you promised that you were there to stay.
but her fire warmed you more than mine,
a forest fire and a land mine,
burning without limits, destroying as she saw fit,
while I was alone, everyone to scared to get close.
I blew up that day, when I heard what you did,
I made some new scars on each of my wrists,
because I wish you would have just told me what I did,
that made you decide that I was worthless.
the worst part was when I dreamed of our first day,
you hugged me every 5 minutes and said I was great,
you promised me I was beautiful and that you'd love me to the end.
but the end came too soon for me.

I like writing. from hours of work, to a second of inspiration, a spark that starts a forest fire, or only lights a single candle. I like to write, and I hope you like what I write. more..
