Goodnight

Goodnight

A Poem by oli the outcast
"

I just wrote it thoughtlessly

"
so tell me darling,
did you think of me in your last breath?
the breath that left your lungs,
as you coughed up blood.
I held you til your death.
I stood beside your coffin,
with nightmares of your demise.
I threw dirt on the wood,
and screamed to the skies.
I sobbed tears unseen.
I was the only one at the funeral,
because we were all each other had.
goodnight my soldier.
sleep well.

Sounds like you're channelling something/someone here. Made me think of homeless vets with PTSD...bobc
