A Romance.

There she stood, smiling at me. The most adorable girl I ever would be able to call mine: Emily Francisca. She had curly brown hair with a single braid, and beautiful blue eyes. Icy eyes, but they didn't come off as cold. When you stared into her eyes, it soothed you. Your soul became calm, at peace, and most importantly: in love.

I stood there stupidly, clothed in a green flannel shirt. The hair on my neck had grown a little thick and unattractively covered my neck. My neglect for shaving had left me looking slouchy and unappealing, as my usual weekend self did. But she didn't care. Eventually she realized that I wasn't gonna be moving so she came over to me and wrapped her arms around me.

“Hey cutie,” she said to me, looking at me with her beautiful eyes, “how are you?”

I smiled at her, suddenly my slouchy feel turned to an adorable squishy feeling – like hugging a teddy bear. “I'm great now. How about yourself?” She turned herself around, now facing away from me, but leaned her head back and looked at me. Oh my lord, I thought, How did I get so lucky?

“I'm good. I missed you! Snow days are no fun without you.”

My gaze turned to the window, still white fluff decorated the outside field. My brain jumped to a different scene, Emily and I walking through the snow, holding hands and kissing. Suddenly I realized a sad truth: I haven't kissed Emily yet.

Looking back at her, she still had her head tilted back, staring at me with her gorgeous eyes. How could I have no kissed this face? It was adorable, and obviously the best I could ever get. Then an idea popped into my head.

“Hey Emily... wanna go for a walk outside?” I said as she twisted around.

She giggled, “Ollie, it's freezing outside! Plus, I didn't bring my jacket.”

“Oh, come on! It's just a little snow.”

She bit her lip, looking at me and trying to figure out what I was trying to do. Good luck, I thought, not even I know what I'm gonna do.

Finally she let me lead her outside. Pressing herself against me to keep warm, we walked a little ways. I touched her arm, goosebumps already covering her skin. I stopped her, pulling her close. We stared into each other's eyes for a little while, finally she said, "Ollie. We're in the middle of a street.”

        “I know.”

        “Then why'd you stop?”

“Well, because...” I looked at her, smiling just a little. She bit her lip again and looked at me. I wanted to say it was a cute way, but everything she does is cute. “Because I wanna give you something.”

“What?” she said, getting a little excited.

I looked at her silently for a bit, and then I pushed my face closer to hers. Instinctively, she closed her eyes, and her hands made their way to my waist, just as mine wrapped around her and pulled her close. Our lips met, and immediately I felt a wave of love and relief flow through my body. It lasted only three seconds, but when she pulled away, it was hardly an inch.

        “Hey Ollie.” Emily said.

        “Yeah?”

        “I love you.”

I love it.
I love how there's a little awkwardness and a little confusion, especially on his side.
I love how she's probably thinking the same things.
I love LOVE. I love romance.
It's like all I write. Great job.
