Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by Omar

I lie;

There is strength in tomorrow’s sun

But that is just a sleeping pill

To get me to the stars

Complacently

Ghosts of today

Shall burn

Under the reign of light

In the morrow’s garden

As though

They existed to begin with

Tomorrow"

All things shall align

In perfect

Oneness

Sedatives

Unbroken, under moonlight

Promises whispered

By the Sandman

That tomorrow,

Tomorrow

And nightly, nightly,

When the sheets are but

A pile of rusted parts

And junk bent and dented

By wild and thunderous

Aches

Lie again, about

Tomorrow

If there is no

Closure

In today.

I can feel the power

As celtic cat said, "Wow" the flow of this poem as you read it is very unique and also the words used in it really makes you wonder if you're really understanding the meaning of what the author wrote about, very good indeed, great poem.

WOAH this is deep, truly. A piece for reading and re-reading, which I have. One thing alone bothers me and I can't shake it (my issue!).... the second line with two buts... for some reason I'm compelled to request you change the first but to yet. Sorry... other than that... I love this piece, so brilliantly written, feels like a secret you've been keeping in... we've been keeping in... and in telling/reading it.... it solidifies and melts the underlying truth until the piece itself becomes a sedative. Nice.
