Mirage

Mirage

A Poem by Chase

Lips brushing yours
Arms around you tight
Waves crashing on our shores
Such a beautiful sight
Your warmth beating inside of me
Laying in the sands
The spray of the sea
Our gateway to foreign lands
Eyes blink open just to see
Twas a dream, whisper, thought
Never shall I receive
What I have so faithfully sought
Another night alone in bed
Longing for love and life
What shall i receive instead?
Thoughts of a future wife

a beautiful write.

great diction - love the imagery, "The spray of the sea"- nice, and enjoyed the way you described this as a distant daydream like wish. Nice work
