God's Angels

That day came quicker than I wanted to put that little face away
Deep into the darkness it must be plunged
Down went that fragile little body to be seen no more
Covered with life later on
Don’t think about it
If it is thought about then
the clouds shall burst and release all of the rain that it has withheld
The rain shall not let up for days at a time
That little loved one gone from sight
but not from heart shall be remembered for long after
That little one that held your hand and loved you with all of its heart
All it knew how to
God’s little angel came down and did what it was supposed to do
It loved us
Gave us life and helped us to connect to people who feel just the same way
Not to shun them but to welcome them with open arms and hearts
Not to cry in mock pain and laugh behind their backs
To support them and take care of them until they know what they are going to do
Now that they have lost that loved one that was young
So when you look up into the sky
And think of God’s little angels and that their purpose was done
They came, loved us, and helped us understand the long lasting pain
So love those little angels and remember that you will one day see them
not in their Earthly grave but up in Heaven with all of the other angels that frolic all of the live long day
