Mirrors In Place

Mirrors In Place

A Poem by Iz

take away dreams and hope
all you have is an empty shell
I no longer have the strength
or the will power
to do either
my dreams have been snatched away
and passed onto others more deserving
and my hope has finally ran out
to where there's not even
a drop to hold onto

a walking shell
a robot to pass my days in silence
and complete loneliness

glimpsed the horizon where
my dreams were layed
just to have the door slammed shut
and mocked with
what is just out of reach

I've reached my limit
I try no more as of tonight
a facade will be
well in place for the world
don't even try to trick the mirrors
because they've had much more practice
at doing what they do
then you ever will
